Johnny Cash has a new album out on November 5th…and, wait for it…it apparently features Nick Cave, and Red Hot Chili Pepper John Frusciante amongst the guest musicians, while tracks covered include Trent Reznor (“Hurt”) and Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore (“Personal Jesus”).
There’s something not quite right about this “American” series of CDs from Mr Cash. Something about Nick Cave being Australian…Sting, Martin Gore, John Lennon and Paul McCartney being English, and Fiona Apple being doofy enough to be Canadian….
That aside, I loved the last one and look forward to this one…
