cold in the head

Feel terrible and would have stayed in bed all day again today had it not occurred to me that by doing so I would in all likelihood lose a day’s pay.

Something tells me that as I was off for so long at the start of the year with my broken collarbone that if I take a sick day for the rest of the financial year I will not get sick pay. I must enquire about this to find out for certain before I next feel poorly, can’t really ask now as it will look a tad fishy if I am wrong (and I don’t think I am) and I then take the next day off. Pants! I wish I’d also realised this on Monday as I would have probably dragged myself in and suffered at my desk then too. I can’t afford to be ill, especially with my holiday coming up at the end of the month. Dammit! I shall have to stick it out until Saturday before I can curl up in bed with a Lemsip and take feeling dreadful seriously.

Had to de-ice the car this morning too, I can’t believe it is so cold and that another year has slipped past.

Last night I crawled out to the Barleycorn to meet up with Burnsie, have a few drinks and a game of pool. Actually had quite a good night except I got trounced. Dammit!

    Hello ickle ill girl

    Hello!

Poor Kay, hope you feel better soon sweetie. Just keep thinking about all the loveliness you’ve got to look forward to at the end of the month. ;o)

Big sympathetic hugs (I know all too well what it’s like to not be able to afford to be ill)
    Take care of yourself
