more shocks

Email from Matt [13:30]:

Am trapped in the house, Mrs C is doing a full house overhaul, Mogs is looking up at me expectantly and we have just been hit by another quake shock!

I need to meet Ruairi in town at 3 ish and am trapped, this will require cunning and bluff and no more earthquake shocks, I’m not sure this old house can take them!

*giggle*

Oh dear. We’re not allowed pets in the flat so I hope Mogs gets smuggled out without detection!

Yes, and more earthquakes it seems. Last night I got woken up at about 4.40am by a tremor. I felt like I was surfing my duvet, very peculiar.

Haven’t got around to writing up the weekend’s events yet, I started to do so at about 5 in the morning on Saturday night but then couldn’t connect to LiveJournal. That was infuriating. I suppose I might get around to that later.

Work is dull, spent lunchtime tweaking the Flash piece Vile asked me to do and I think it’s a lot tidier now. Fairly happy with it here but I’d like to test it out on dial-up when I get home to be sure.

Chris is in France this week so no pool or pub at lunchtimes. I popped out earlier to get a bite to eat and drove past what looked like an interesting looking path leading through a graveyard and out of curiousity stopped the car to see where it went. I was hoping that it might cut through the cemetary and erupt out to a cool view or something.

It didn’t.

Still, I suppose I got a touch of fresh air.

    Another earthquake oop north! Golly.

Didn’t feel this one at all, possibly because I was ‘Nytol’ aided at that hour of the morning!!

I saw a regional news report saying that the Bridgewater Hall was still bouncing this morning! (It’s built on springs to absorb traffic vibration, for the info of non-mancunians.)And, apparently cracks appeared in the Diesel shop floor on Bishopsgate.

    Mucho excitement.
