Lil' 5 Points

Went to check out the copy shop in L5P but decided to go on to Kinko’s to do all our copying anyway. Since we were parked up we had a mosey around L5P and wandered around some of the shops. Took a trip to Junkman’s Daughter and spent a good while rooting through all the stuff, nothing really stood out though. 🙁 I can’t spend money if I try.

Kay stood outside the Star Community Bar.

Didn’t actually make it out to the Star Bar while I was in Atlanta on this visit. Now, I almost wish we had put in an appearance. I admit I’m a tad nervous about going there after everything, but now we’ve just put it off and I’m anxious about it now. Aaargh.

Junkman’s Daughter I guess is similar to some of the units in Affleck’s Palace, Manchester. It’s not as extensive and there’s none of the trendy designer or skatey stuff but it’s very much a mix of Vintage to Fetish crossed with Thunder Egg Nodule. Lacks toilet facilities, would probably have browsed longer if there had been somewhere to relieve oneself! Grrr.

Just so you know, there are two 5 points in Atlanta. 5 Points in downtown and Little 5 Points near my hood. They’re both places where 5 seperate roads intersect. L5P is an old hippy/skinhead hang out. It’s slowly being turned into more of an established Alternative Yuppie land but still hangs on to it’s roots. Basically it’s the heart of Atlanta Counter Culture.
