Did a stint at the cottages today, I think I worked out that I must have hoovered at least 27 rooms. Little wonder I ache.
Checked in on the rabbit while I was there too, thankfully not dead yet. Last week you see Farmer Sprout bought a bunny rabbit, it’s so cute. I think we are calling it Bunyip, aka Bunsy. It’s a dwarf bunny and all silvery grey. I am slightly concerned though as according to his family Ian has a tendency to kill animals by mistake, and there is apparently a long line of bunny predecessors to Bunyip. Considering he is a farmer and should know how to look after animals this is a bit odd. Seeing as he forgot to give Bunyip any water and tried to feed it Rich Tea Biscuits the first few days he had him I am keeping a close eye on little Bunyip. Made a special trip to the pet store to provide the poor thing with some real food and a water bottle!
Lynsey told a horror story of when Farmer Sprout proudly told them to go see his little bunnies and when they went to look, one was dead. Aaargh. Not going to happen to Bunyip while I’m around!!
No sign of Wendy’s goldfish that she released into one of the pond’s last week. Actually, it’s really Lynsey’s. Apparently she won it years and years ago at Goose Fair. She had two, but can’t remember if the surviving one is called Condom or Poppadom. It’s release into the wilds last week was actually very funny, the pond was very weedy and it didn’t swim away when it was gently placed into the water. Wendy was very concerned that it would get tangled in the weeds, so fished it back out and unceremoniously flung it into the clear bit in the centre of the pond (btw I say pond but it’s not your average garden pond, these ponds are BIG!), poor thing. I’m surprised it didn’t have an instant coronary.
When I finished at Sherrill I tootled across to Bawcombe and Nicky and I took the pack of farm dogs for a nice long walk.
Got home exhausted in the evening. was looking forward to catching up with Bill but found him busy at work. Spent the evening and most of the night writing stupid job applications and annoying dad by having to use the printer after he’d gone to bed (sorry :(). Finished off grumpy, tired, missing Bill heaps and my head totally caved in from doing some SRC search til I wanted to scream.
Went to sleep a very tired, frayed, bundle of grouch.
-Yay! Bill just woke up from his nap! Whooo!
