Quick update while I sit here copying all the vital documents I’ll be needing for the trip to London tomorrow. Bill’s here and we are off to catch a train in the morning ready for the Embassy interview on Wednesday.
Just hit a bit of a panic as I’ve realised that due to a change of plans unless I think of something quickly my car will be sat in an overnight carpark with an invalid tax disc for the whole of Wednesday. Arse. Not what I need right now. Going to have to sort that out somehow tomorrow. Pants. Doubly annoying seeing as I’ll be leaving the country on Sunday too.
Okay, got to press on. Getting all nervous about this interview and medical now. Need hugs.
Eeps!
You’ll be fine!
Just try to be strong! 🙂
You’ll get through this, after everything you’ve been through so far – this’ll be a cinch!
*deep breaths*

Hope it goes smoothly…
Hope everything goes well, is this the final stage now?
Haven’t stumbled across your blog for a while, so just been catching up on your hen night, sounds like a lot of fun!
Have you got a date set now?

Thanks Matt, appreciate it. 🙂
December 23rd
Heya there Andy. How do?
Yes, K1 visa in hand I made it back to Atlanta on Sunday.
Forms wise that was just the beginning though. There is a whole other load to sort through and stress over when we file for Adjustment of Status once we are married. Also need to sort out a work permit and get my driver’s license over here and all sorts of scary things.
But for the moment we can finally relax and plan the wedding now. Date is set for 23rd December (Bill’s birthday) and I guess we have some organising to do! Yikes! Which reminds me, while the cat’s away the mouse ought to start practicing walking around in her fab new wedding shoes so she doesn’t fall tits over arse on the big day!! Hee hee.
Hope you and Chelle are well? Got any ferrets?
xxKay
Re: Eeps!
Thanks.
Hated the medical (not a fan of being examined and poked and prodded), interview was over very quickly. Hardly seemed worth it really, not totally sure how it helped the US to vet potential residents at all! We were only really asked how long we’d known each other (twice) and then the conversation slipped into chitchat about baseball and the Cubs playing the Braves in the playoffs or something!

Gah! Who does eh? [Not by anyone other than your nearest and dearest anyhow!];)

*lol* At least the interview was quick and painless! I guess they just need to confirm your not a terrorist or anything! 😉
Well done for getting through it all – I’m sure its not been easy!?
Despite the fact we never really got to know eachother properly, I really do hope that everything goes well for you Kay.
You really are very brave!
Good luck with everything and take care of yourself!
