I doggy sat again yesterday. Took Genghis and Quincy for a walk around the neighbourhood. That was quite an ordeal. Genghis got all fired up and strained on the lead all the way, eager to get to the next pee post. Quincy however is a laid back stroller and lingered at the back, taking his time, savouring the pee pee. As a result I spent the entire walk being pulled in two directions. Next time we go walkies I think Bill has to be there to take control of one of them.

When Bill got home we fixed one of the gates so that it opens out the other way and secured the fence a bit better on that side. While we doing that the neighbours over the road arrived home and Gingha got very excited to see them. We let him go and wiggle at them for a bit and then later Bill took him out so that their kids could see him and know that he is safe and doing okay.

There is a Tae Kwan Do class I read about on the internet that takes place in Decatur on Tuesday and Thursday nights. At 8pm Bill and I drove over to see if we could find it and see what the lessons are like. It looked promising, certainly more lively than the YMCA Tang Soo Do and the do jang had energy. There were a lot more people taking the class and they seemed less freakish. There were a number of black belts there and I had the chance to talk to one of the instructors about the style and class format. Think I’ll be going back there on Tuesday to try it out. It seems a very informal class, no one was wearing a full dobok, just the trousers and a t-shirt, and the instructors seemed very knowledgeable. We were able to take a seat at the back and watch for a while. There were two instructors and the class seemed very structured. We watched one of the instructors teach the purple belts a new form. It was very entertaining to see as he explained every move and was able to get us to envisage a full scale battle going on. They said they don’t do much sparring but are looking into changing their syllabus to incorporate more. They do yet another form of TKD and once again my forms will be totally different, but I think this class seems much more suited to me.

Fingers crossed.

Bill was also excited because we discovered that the Recreation Centre also seems to have a drop-in basketball court so he’s hoping he may be able to bring a ball and get a little exercise himself while I’m doing TKD.

Returned to the house to find the dogs being good. We went and got the doggy beds from Mary the night before and both Quince and Gingha are taking to them already. Got back just in time to catch most of The Apprentice too. It was a close call for Troy but thankfully he scraped through and Heidi got fired instead. Phew.

Does this mean that you may have found a decent place to go to TKD at last?
    Yey!
Make sure you can still beat the crap of the bossy ginga ninja, she’s beefcake you know.

I’m glad Betty is a little girl dog, I’ve seen the amount of weeing that the boy dogs do and it’s frightening. Where do they store it all? They just pee and pee and pee all the way through our walks.
