Operation Rescue Ginger Dog

Bill came in from the yard cursing and fuming this morning. He’d been talking to the Redneck Neighbour Wife and discovered that they had let Animal Control take Ginger Dog away yesterday.

Ginger Dog is in the pound!

Bill phoned Animal Control and we’ve just got back from going down there to ID poor Ginger Dog. We had to take a walk through all the cages containing Dekalb County’s stray dogs and see if we could spot Ginger Dog. We couldn’t find him. With sinking hearts we were about to leave when I just had to make us do another tour of the dogs, just in case. And thank God we did. We found him on the second trip around, he was in a crate with another dog and we must’ve overlooked him as we walked past before. He’s a very timid dog and he looked very disorientated and confused. Wouldn’t even take the cookie I proffered him.

We had to take his detail slip off the front of his cage and take it back to reception where the guy there marked Ginger as having prospective adoptive parents. No euthanasia or animal testing for our Ginger. It’s upsetting now because we had to go away without him as policy says that he has to stay in the pound for 5 days before he can be put up for adoption.

Next Wednesday however, as long as Ginger has been a good dog and doesn’t display any problem traits (can’t see that happening, he’s a gem) we get to go and pick him up and bring him home with us. Hoorah!!

Hope everything works out and those 5 days aren’t too horrid to Ginger Dog.

    Bugnastie

    Miss Pinkaboo,
Good news for Ginger Dog but I notice that reprobate Bugnastie is communicating again! I knew it wouldn’t take long for him to emerge from his self inflicted swamp. I imagine that he is bored now that he is no longer at the forefront of white heat technology. His ex-colleagues have transitioned smoothly and briskly head towards new horizons.. but not Bugnastie, who has the inertia of a planet. And No I don’t care if he reads this. If this is a sign of the times it wouldn’t surprise me if you hear from Elsie Crapshoveller before long.

I hope to meet Ginger Dog in the near future.
