Hoardings

The other day I actually managed to get a few photos of some of the freelance work I’ve been doing that’s up around Atlanta billboards. The illustrations in the photos are my doing.

We also drove up past the Trivision board which has the Delta ad pasted to the side of a huge tower block and it was quite thrilling to see my giant Eiffel Tower rotate into view. Yay! No pictures of that yet though as trying to take a photo from a fast moving truck on the interstate only yields blue blurs.

Very, very good, I especially like the San-fran’ one, are they done in illustrator on Ed?

    Thanks.

I’m glad you think they are good. I’m rather pleased with them, especially next to some that other people did. I’m pretty damn sure mine are better than their dodgy looking ones. (Don’t remember if I said but a couple of the pics got sent to an agency to be done, they charged 5 times as much as me and their results were shoddy. Bah humbug, yes I’m bitter)

They are done using a combination of PhotoShop (it helps to convert an image to greyscale and then play with adjustments until the image is just b/w but still detailed, at which point I select, convert to paths, and export to AI) and Illustrator (sometimes the paths from PS are usable, but most often they are just a guide and a starting point), but always on Ed. Love the Ed.

I was having a miss Nicky moment! Was recreating that being 19 down on the farm feeling. 😀
Remembering working in the kitchen with you, guessing at how to make corsets and boogieing to dodgy goth.

    Miss you.

Glad you like the illustrations! 😀 *bounces*
