The saga of the missing toothypegs continues

I had my followup appointment at the oral surgeon’s yesterday. This involved being seen by one nurse/assistant who tried to take the suture out but couldn’t on her own as it was too tight and she decided she needed another pair of hands to help. The lady she asked was busy, so she said in the meantime she’d tell the dentist to go ahead and see me and they would come back to sort the suture out afterwards.

The dentist came in and was very amiable as always, he had a good peer into my mouth, and as I was still hurting, decided to dress the afflicted socket.

He asked yet another assistant to apply the dressing and take the suture out. She came in, couldn’t see the stitch at all and gave up on it. This was strange considering that the first lady seemed to have no trouble seeing it at all. The hole which used to house my bottom wisdom house got packed with some sort of foul smelling medicated dressing and I got sent away again, to return on Friday to have it removed. Hopefully I’ll see one of the other dental nurses again then find out what’s up with this elusive stitch.

Within twenty minutes I could feel the dressing working and it worked a treat, it really helped to soothe the aches and pains. Why they didn’t apply it on Monday when I was in far more discomfort I don’t know. Oh well.

Spent the whole day at BrightHouse with Bill working on another illustration. I’ve still got no idea what the deal with the original freelance work is, but the good news is that out of the blue I was given two more pictures to create in vectors. Yay! Something to keep me busy and make money!! Hoorah.

Was completely shattered by the time I got home and when Bill went out to play table tennis I just crashed out and the next thing I knew he was back all stinky and sweaty and the dogs were roaming around like Serengeti beasts wanting the dinner I was too asleep to give them. Oops.

At home at the moment, but will be joining Bill at BrightHouse this afternoon.
