Last night in ironic fashion we accidentally celebrated my first complete year in the States at a British pub eating fish/chicken and chips!

Plans to go to the Thai restaurant sort of fell apart as Bill had had a hectic time at the office getting all his work in order before his business trip and our weekend in New York. He ended up phoning me on his way home as the lovely Michelle, Paul and several others had already arranged to go to The Prince of Wales for after work drinkies.

I’ve now almost finished packing for New York and Bill’s on his way home from dropping the dogs off at Mary and Hank’s for their holidays. When Bill told him where he was going Quince got terribly excited and was jumping around like a gazelle all over the bed this morning. Unfortunately, I was still in it at the time.

Looking forward to meeting up with Pengie again. We’ve arranged to meet up to see Fu Manchu at the Knitting Factory on Saturday night. Am currently deliberating over whether I have packed appropriate attire. Wish I could squeeze a pair of big boots into the bag, but I fear I need to pack light. Humph.

Oh, and speaking of gigs I think I may well go to the Skinny Puppy one in Atlanta at the end of the month. I’m thinking about it anyway, tickets are a little pricey and Bill has no interest (he’s scared) but Paul is eager to go and I do need to get out more!
