A very patient and loving husband dreaded my hair for me yesterday! It took almost the entire day and I believe poor hubby has sore hands today. Thank you babe.
I’d actually already tried to do the deed myself last weekend and it was pretty disastrous. I ended up soaking those out in the bath last Monday. I tried really hard to manage the work on my own, but was not to be. Poor Bill.
Oh, and as I promised Mum and Dad, here’s a pic of me with my new specs on.
I went to the optician a few weeks ago and have ended up needing glasses for the first time. I’d been finding it hard to read road signs while driving and although the optician said my prescription was minor I decided to go ahead and be able to see clearly again. I do like things to be in focus.
While there, the optician also commented that I had unusally large optic nerves, and that one of them was a lot bigger than the other. He couldn’t find anything else wrong and said that I may have just been born like that, but was surprised no optician had ever mentioned it to me before.
I called Dad when I got home and asked him to see if anything had been noted on my notes in Tavistock…nothing. Although, Dad did tell me that he’d once been to the doctor and was referred to see an optician because of the same trait. Our optician then took a look and didn’t make anything of it. *shrugs*
Trying glasses on was very confusing, had no idea what to get. I tried a few plastic frames on and a few made the shortlist until I decided they made me look French. Opted instead for these thin plummy coloured metal frames. Wearing them is very strange, but I certainly feel more comfortable when I drive now.
