Four weeks

if you’d asked me in the past few days how I was feeling right now you’d have got this reply:

“I hurt. I feel like a double decker bus has crashed headlong into my pelvis. It hurts when I move, it hurts when I lie down, it hurts when I’m sitting and it hurts when I walk. Turning over in bed is excruciatingly painful. I can manage about thirty to forty minutes of sleep at a time before I wake up hurting, unable to get comfortable and needing to use the loo.”

Thankfully I’m feeling a lot more comfortable again right now and I hope it stays that way. I had a bad night again last night and ended up getting up around five for a bit as I just kept trying to get comfy and disturbing Bill so I’m rather tired now and am finding it very hard to concentrate. But, at least the nasty pain has subsided and now all I can feel is Sam’s little wriggles inside my tummy, and as weird as that is, it’s very comforting. On the plus side, while I was pottering around I did manage to phone and get through to the Student Loans Company in Glasgow and sort out my loan payments for the year. That’s a big relief as that had been weighing on my mind a lot lately too. Boo hisss to student loans!

Bill’s been ill this week but ploughing on regardless as he has so much work to do. It’s crazy, he really should be in bed getting better, but he’s soldiering on. I just hope that Sam and I manage to steer clear of whatever it is he’s got.

Four weeks to go before sproglet is due to arrive and I’m putting in mad hours at the office. Really wish I could curl up and have a good long sleep with my feet up. Can’t wait til the weekend so I can have a good lie in, though I have a whole list of things I need to get done then too. I was supposed to finish freelancing this week and then be able to rest up for the rest of the pregnancy, but the way this project is going it looks like Bill will have to extend my contract by another week. Great for our bank account, not so great for my sanity.

The fridge/freezer is still just a hulk of useless metal and plastic in the kitchen, we simply haven’t had time to deal with it this week. Having explained the symptoms to my Dad and having done some googling it does sound like it’s a terminal problem (refrigerant leak) and that we’ll be visiting BrandsMart again in the next few days. Oh yay!

Oh well, better get on I suppose.
