Yesterday the answer to that question would have been far too many! It seemed that every time I fed Sam he would say thank you by throwing up all over himself, and me. We practically went through an entire laundry load of outfits! It was getting to be quite upsetting. It’s not nice to see a perfect little mouth choke up regurgitated milk, or to see Sam look so distressed and surprised.
We missed Daddy very much. I think part of the problem was that Daddy is awesome at burping his little froggy, and I suck. I just haven’t got the knack. Daddy manages to get the most fearsome burps out of Sam, I manage to get him to throw up. Bit of a problem!
I also suspect that our little tree frog is a greedy baby and may perhaps be getting too much milk at a feed. I’ve been offering both breasts to Sam and he’s been guzzling away. Today I tried a different tactic and have only been giving Sam one boob at a feed, but letting him feed until he unlatches himself. I’ve then also been feeding him more regularly so that he gets smaller amounts more frequently and can hopefully process that better. So far so good, no vomit! Hoorah!
