Ugh, can’t sleep, my mind is so crazy and worked up. At three o’clock tomorrow afternoon we’ll be heading to the airport on our way to England where we’ll be visiting Nanna and Grandad and seeing Sy and Mel. Haven’t seen Sy and Mel in years and can’t wait to catch up and introduce them to their little Froggy nephew.
I’m so nervous about the flight, even if there hadn’t been a terror scare in the last week I think I’d still be twitchy. It’s bad enough driving Sam around because I have to look after him and worry about screwing up, flying is ten times worse because I have absolutely no control. I love my little Froggy, don’t want anything bad to happen to him, ever.
I’m all packed and ready to go, I think. Tomorrow I just have to drop off a spare key with our lovely neighbour, give Sam a bath and then try to spruce up the house a little bit so it’s all nice and fresh for when we return. I might also have another go at culling Sam’s luggage. It was so difficult packing for him as it’s hard to tell what he’ll need in Devon, and he’s been growing so fast I’m sure I’ve probably packed some clothes that won’t even fit him.
This afternoon Sam and I drove over to Camp Leslie to drop Quincy off for his holiday. Quince was so excited and happy to be there, he has so much fun with the Leslie doggies. Also got to see Caitlin briefly, but it was brief because I had to dash off when some guys came to tear up the driveway, barely made it out of there.
We made the long trip to Columbus and took Genghis to his holiday home with Richard and Leigh last night. We also got to see little Ryker who I think is now six months old. (He seems to also be going by his middle name, but I can’t recall how to spell that right now!)
It’s so strange being in the house without the boys.
This morning Sam and I went to the parent’s group and lactation support group as normal, I wanted to see everyone before we left for the UK. I also got to weigh Sam and can report that he is now a hefty 14lb (6.35 kg).
Okay, going to try to go back to bed and get some much needed sleep now. No lie in for me tomorrow, even if I didn’t have a whole heap of stuff to do there’s no way Sam would let me! Rotter.
See everyone at Ashridge for hugs and Sammy cuddles on Saturday!
