Actually, I don’t think Bill even lasted until midnight to give me my birthday presents, but then it had already been the 20th in England for four hours so it wasn’t really cheating at all.
I got a little gadget comprising of a whistle with a mini compass, thermometer, mirror, magnifying glass and torch, as well as a water bottle and carrying pack. Oh, and some fancy running socks too, one for each foot. I kid not. They really are foot specific and come labeled “left” and “right”.
Melly and Sy got me a very scary, scaly, crocodile oven mit with gnashing teeth. Sam thinks it’s great and likes it when it nips his head. Got a perfect pair of pink flip flops to wear on the beach in Florida too.
I also got a bleary awakening when the Aussies called this morning. Hoorah, thanks mateys. Was great to hear from you even if we were all yawning and I was finding it hard to breath because Smells Like Hamsters had been given to me for his morning milky milky and Bill hadn’t had time to change him before he pegged it out the door so he wouldn’t be late for work.
Mumsy and Dadsy – thanks for your card and pressie too, and I am a good girl, honest!! *grins*
Bill sadly is too busy at work to take the day off but we’ve arranged to meet up for lunch. He said he’d take me anywhere I wanted as long as we could do it during his lunch break. I decided a family picnic in Piedmont Park and a visit to the playground for Sam would be perfect.
