Let’s just cut right to the chase here…
It’s a girl!
Though, we sort of knew that anyway didn’t we?!
Congratulations Dandad, you do get a Dandorter in September! Mummy and Daddy are pretty pleased too mind.
Here she is, little *Insert Name I’m Not Telling You,* looking straight at you:
The trip to see my OB GYN and ultrasound technician went very well yesterday. All appears to be well with *ININTY* and she’s looking good. We got to see all her little fingers waving at us on two perfect little hands attached to two perfect little arms. She’s measuring a little bigger than the twenty weeks she’s supposed to be and according to the technician she looks great.
One worry cleared up for me was that the placenta has indeed moved up from where it was overlapping my cervix and thus away from being a risk and potential c-section on doctor’s orders. Phew.
Sam came to the appointment with us and was a very good boy throughout the ultrasound process. I’m not sure he quite realised he was looking at his future little sister and nemesis though.
In the doctor’s office he then got lively and decided it was boring in the stroller. Much more fun to push his book into the bottom of the reclining bed where it fell underneath, and then get upset. Doctor and Daddy had to crawl around on the floor and try to retrieve it using random flat medical instruments. Made for a much more comedic appointment than usual. Good job son.
I’ve put on almost another five pounds in a month. I blame birthday cake.
