Oops, I think that the Singapore Vermicelli that I had for tea tonight might have had some peanuts in it. 🙁
Cue, quick trip to Launceston Minor Injury Unit (was out visiting Nicky at the farm at the time). Thanks to Lynsey for taking me out there at 1.30 in the morning.
Plan for the evening was:
Go to the farm to see Nicky,
Take trip into Tavistock to acquire Chinese,
Pop home and grab some clean clothes and pyjamas,
Return to the farm for beverages and frivolity and gossip.
What actually happened:
Went to Chinese takeaway in Tavistock,
Get home to find that mum and dad bought a puppy today,
Get distracted and play with puppy,
Puppy is introduced to Bill via webcam,
Takeaway makes me feel rather ill and odd,
Take Piriton and watch Jackass until I feel better,
Drive across to farm,
Felt odd again so went to bed,
Throat decides to swell up,
Eek, scary moment as I find it more and difficult to breathe and feel like I am choking on my swollen throat,
Race around house summoning lovely Nicky and Lynsey who sort me out with a trip to hospital.
All pretty much okay now though, still swollen but am heaps better after having some ventalin (adminstered using freaky mask device that smoked as the stuff crept around the edges) and being monitored for a while. Sore now, but at least the swelling has subsided. Phew.
Dog is very very cute indeed. She’s an 8 week old black labrador who I think is going to be named Molly. Awwwww. Love her to bits already.
